AUTUMN TALE: Massala Chai Black Tea

A unique blend based on a beautiful Assam CTC from Northeast India. CTC (crushing-tearing-curling) is a process by which the leaves are crushed several times and then rolled. This technique promotes strong fermentation and produces a colorful, rich infusion with an incomparable malty aroma.

This typical Chai Massala scent will be a little comfort on rainy autumn days.

Tea info: Assam teas are unique teas in the world, powerful, generous with spicy notes. Its infusion is a beautiful copper color. The cultivar is called "Camélia Assamica", differentiating it from the Chinese one "Camélia Sinensis". It is the essential base of Indian Chai.

Composition: ASSAM CTC* black tea, spices (pepper, ginger, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon).

Tasting notes: A liqueur of a beautiful deep red, sober and a little spicy. The typical perfume of Chai Massala.

To consume: In the morning and/or after lunch. Plain or with a splash of milk or infused directly in sweetened milk in the Indian way.

Dosage: 1 level teaspoon of tea. Water at 95°C. Infusion for 3 to 5 minutes depending on the desired intensity. Its appearance of very small black pearls makes its dosage very easy.
