Grown in the Yunnan region, a Chinese province that produces very high-quality teas, this tea is distinguished by its surprising, slightly woody fragrance, the result of post-fermentation. The tea leaves are fermented in a controlled humid atmosphere for 60 days. Naturally very low in theine, this sweet and soothing tea promotes digestion and protects the stomach. Renowned in particular for its refreshing, tonic and beneficial properties (traditional Chinese medicine classifies Pu Erh among medicinal plants), it has the unique characteristic of improving with age.
Its dark, deep cup gives a very sweet liquor, without bitterness or astringency. Pu-Erh is also known for eliminating fats and reducing bad cholesterol levels.
Composition: Pu-Erh tea (Plantation without chemical treatments).
Tasting notes: Very sweet liqueur, notes evoking wood and liquorice root. Will accompany the tasting of hearty dishes and desserts based on chocolate or caramel.
To consume: All day and in the evening. Ideal after meals for its digestive properties.
For: Lovers of mild and beneficial teas.
